Voter turnout of Bulgarians on the day of elections for the 51st National Assembly

The turnout reached 28.5% by 5 p.m., Gallup International Balkan reported. 


By 3:00 p.m., voter turnout in the early parliamentary elections held today has reached 23.3%, Gallup International Balkan reported. The indicator is higher compared to the same time of the previous elections in June this year. 

"The activity is moving in a similar way to the exit poll we conducted in October 2022. So it started from the morning". This was announced by Svetlin Tachev from Gallup International Balkan, a partner of the BNR. "So far, the data are similar, let's see, there is time left until the end of the election day, there is time, whether the movement of voter turnout will actually reach the percentages of 2022", commented the sociologist and called for voting.



By 1:00 p.m. voter turnout in the current parliamentary elections reached 17.4%, according to data from the Gallup International Balkan agency. 

In the previous elections, 15.6 percent of the voters had voted by this time. Among those who have exercised their right to vote so far, people with higher education and older people from smaller settlements stand out.

"The dynamics of exit poll refusals remain at the levels of the previous elections," Petko Petkov, executive director of the sociological agency, told BNR. According to him, it is too early at this time to say whether there will be any surprises.

"The campaign was quite weak. The fault lies entirely with the political elite. Voters go to vote when they see some sense in doing so", said the sociologist.



By 11:00 a.m. voter turnout in the current parliamentary elections was 10.4%, according to data from the Gallup International Balkan agency. This represents a slightly higher turnout compared to the previous parliamentary elections in June, when it was 10 percent at the same time.



By 9:00 a.m., voter turnout in Bulgaria was 3.7 percent, according to an exit poll by the sociological agency Gallup International Balkan.

"The main thing is the sincerity of the answers in the exit poll. The specific developments, especially in one political sector, mean that more technological voting or more insincere positioning may turn out to be a problem for the final results of our survey", commented Parvan Simeonov, executive director of the agency, to the BNR at the beginning of the election day. 

He added that this happens in "more troubled times, more disreputable and more hidden votes or favours".
