Council for Electronic Media re-elects Milen Mitev as Director General of BNR

The Council for Electronic Media (CEM) re-elected Bulgarian National Radio Director General Milen Mitev to a second term of three years. He got the votes of three out of the five members of CEM – the commission’s chairperson Gabriela Naplatanova, Galina Georgieva and Kadrinka Kadrinova. 

Milen Mitev was born on March 4, 1984. He graduated from an English Language School in Plovdiv and later studied Law at the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He started working at the Bulgarian National Radio in 2009 and then worked at BTA. In 2020, he returned to BNR as Administrative Director. In October 2021, CEM elected Milen Mitev as Director General of BNR. In December 2023, he was elected member of the executive board of the European Broadcasting Union.
