The Bulgarian folklore dance group Vito Horo from Perth will take part in the multicultural women’s festival Harmony of Colours, taking place tonight in the Australian city, the Bulgarian association Rodina has announced.

Besides the Bulgarian dance group, dancers from Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Morocco, Sudan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will also take part in the event.

The programme of the festival features a show presenting the national costumes of the different nations, as well as a dance contest and a lecture dedicated to cultural diversity and the role of women in it.

Vito Horo was set up in 2011 as part of the Rodina association. Both the dance group and the association aim to popularize and preserve Bulgarian culture, tradition and the Bulgarian language within the Bulgarian community in Western Australia.
