The Ministry of Transport announced that a meeting between representatives of Bulgaria and North Macedonia is to be held on October 16 in Brussels, reported BGNES. Deputy ministers and representatives of the European Commission will attend the meeting. All current and future activities related to the implementation of Corridor No. 8 on both sides of the border will be discussed at the meeting.

''The section from Gyueshevo railway station to the entrance of the Deve Bair cross-border tunnel is included for implementation in the current programming period of the Transport Connectivity Programme 2021-2027. The project is expected to be completed by 2030. Currently, priority is being given to the development of projects from Gyueshevo railway station to the entrance of the Deve Bair tunnel'', the Ministry of Transport said in response to claims from Skopje about uncertainty regarding the entry point of the railway into Bulgaria. The latest European Commission report on North Macedonia emphasized the urgent need to accelerate the construction of Corridor No. 8, BGNES recalls.
