Sunny weather expected as new week starts in Bulgaria

The weather on Monday will be mostly sunny. The northwesterly wind will weaken to moderate and gradually shift from the south. The maximum temperatures will be between 19°C and 24°C, in Sofia – about 20°C.

It will be mostly sunny but windy over the mountains. A moderate to strong wind will blow from the west-northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be about 16°C, at 2,000 m - about 8°C.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. In the morning over the extreme northern regions, cloudiness will be significant and in some places it will still rain. A light to moderate wind will blow from the west-northwest. The maximum temperatures will be 21°C-24°C, and the temperature of the sea water - 21°C-22°C. 

In the Balkans, the clouds will continue to break up and decrease and it will now be mostly sunny. Highs are expected to reach 28°C in Athens, 23°C in Istanbul, 22°C in Bucharest and Belgrade.
