There is a potential danger of a wave of migrants, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at a briefing after the meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security, at which the risks to this country stemming from the sharp deterioration of the security environment in the Middle East were discussed.

According to the Prime Minister, migrant flows are currently at their normal level. According to him, these were mainly people from Afghanistan, Syria and Morocco.

Twenty-five compatriots will be evacuated from Lebanon today, Dimitar Glavchev also said. Another 16 will be transported tomorrow by an Air Canada flight to Istanbul.

Asked about possible evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from Iran, the Prime Minister said that the country is ready, but none of the Bulgarian citizens in Iran has expressed such a desire. 45-50 Bulgarians live there.
