Companies from 25 countries take part in 78th International Technical Fair in Plovdiv

The 78th Plovdiv International Technical Fair was opened in Bulgaria’s second largest city. 231 companies - direct producers and sales representatives from 25 countries, are participating in the forum, which will last until September 28. They work in the fields of modern green construction, engineering, energy, digital technologies in manufacturing, heavy equipment, hybrid vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles.

At the opening, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, David Sukalinski, pointed out that the Bulgarian industry has an extremely important role for the country's economy, with its contribution to GDP being close to 20%. In 2023, the added value created was 10.7 billion euros, and the number of working enterprises in the sector is about 30,000.
