Tennis: Grigor Dimitrov in 10th position in world rankings

Bulgaria’s most successful tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has kept his position in the top 10 of the world rankings published today. With 3,965 points he is in 10th position thanks to the US Open quarterfinal.

This week, Grigor Dimitrov will be getting ready for the demonstration match with Novak Djokovic in Sofia on 17 September. In the ATP Race to Turin standings, which reflects the standings since 1 January 2024, Grigor is again in 10th position with 2,835 points. Adrian Andreev has advanced 58 notches up to 203rd position, thanks to the title in Porto, while 19-year old Iliyan Radulov is up 66 places to position No. 766.

In the women’s rankings, Bulgaria’s top tennis player Viktoriya Tomova is up 2 notches to 56th place, while Isabella Shinikova is 318th and Lia Karatancheva is 361st thanks to yesterday’s final in Vienna.
