Lyrra and Atazar: Asker

Photo: YouTube /Lyrra

Lyrra is the stage name of young singer Lyubomira Pavlova. Before she started a solo career she earned a name for herself as member of some popular folk music formations such as “Mystery of the Bulgarian voices”, “Chinari” “Bulgarina” trio. As a solo artist Lyrra likes to experiment, combining folklore with contemporary music genres.

Lyrra’s latest song is called Asker (Soldier). In the song she created together with producer Atazar (Atanas Zaykov), the two musicians tell a story which they describe as “searching for the soldier”. Here, Lyrra remains true to her style, blending Bulgarian folklore with pop, dance and house – which is Atazar’s side of the collaboration.

With Asker, the singer signals the start of a new period in her musical career – creating her own independent label – Lyrra Music. With this label she promises to create the kind of music that comes from her heart and her soul.
