Grigor Dimitrov advances to the third round of US Open

Bulgaria's top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the third round of the US Open after a straight-set victory over Rinky Hijikata (Rank 62)- 6-1, 6-1, 7-6 (4). The match lasted just over two hours and 10 minutes. In the first two sets, Dimitrov lost only 2 games.

In the next round of the tournament, Dimitrov will face Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands. Dimitrov and Griekspoor have never played each other.

The Dutch tennis player is ranked 40th in the world and has a record of 21 wins and 20 losses this year. Dimitrov and Griekspoor are scheduled to play against each other on Friday, August 30.
