The Olympic champion from Paris and world record holder in weightlifting Karlos Nasar will be announced today as an honorary citizen of the town of Cherven Bryag, announced  town mayor Atanas Atanasov. The municipality will also honor the weightlifter and his coach Pavel Hristov with a cash prize as a token of appreciation for their hard work and the successes achieved at the highest level.
Although born in Paris, Karlos Nasar grew up in Cherven Bryag.

In honor of the champion, a celebratory concert will also be organized in the town square with the participation of "100 kaba bagpipes" and the "Soprano" trio. Children from the "Zora" kindergarten will present a themed dance dedicated to Karlos Nasar.

Having achieved everything in sports, one of his goals is to pay more attention to children.

"At the time in Bulgaria there were many wrong examples that children followed. I hope I can be one of the good examples that can lead their way. When a man reaps great success, he loses most of his human qualities. I want to escape from this situation and preserve myself as a person," he told bTV.
