The first zoo-library is being organized in Bulgaria today, 24 August, from 10 AM, by the Sofia Library in partnership with the Sofia Zoo.

Next to the pond in the Sofia Zoo, animal and book lovers will be able to see the exhibition “The birds of America” presenting one of the most unique and expensive books in the world from the 1830s by American ornithologist and artist John Audubon. The book contains 435 colour prints of almost 500 life-size bird species. The exhibition also features zoology textbooks, the oldest among them from 1866. Visitors can also take part in “Mission zoo-detective” - part of the zoo’s educational platform for children of school age.
