Weather forecast for 21 August

Code yellow for hot weather in 8 districts in eastern Bulgaria

On Wednesday, the western part of the country will be cloudy and rainy with thunderstorms and hail possible. Eastern Bulgaria will be mostly sunny. Minimum temperatures will be between 16 and 21°C, 18°C in Sofia. Maximum temperatures will range from 27 to 37 degrees, 27 degrees in the capital. 


The Black Sea coast will be sunny with a north-easterly breeze. Air temperatures will reach 29-32 degrees Celsius. The water temperature will be 28°C. The sea swell will be 1-2. 


Over the mountains it will be cloudy and rainy with thunderstorms. In the Central Balkans and Western Rhodopes, there will be heavy precipitation. Maximum temperatures will reach 23°C at 1,200 m and 15°C at 2,000 m.


Thursday and Friday will be sunny. In the afternoon, clouds with rain and thunderstorms will form over the mountains. The Black Sea coast will be sunny again.
