The participants in the 67th international tourist regatta TID 2024 (Tour International Danubien - TID) were welcomed in Vidin. More than 130 contestants from 10 countries landed on the bank of the Danube near Baba Vida fortress.
Vidin is the second stopover for the regatta in the Bulgarian section after Novo Selo. A representative of each country taking part was given a gift bag to remember Vidin by, and all contestants were offered a day trip to the cave Magurata and tto Belogradchik cliffs, organized by the hosts. On 14 August the participants left for Lom.
TID is the world’s biggest international tourist rowing regatta. Every year it starts at Ingolstadt (Germany) in June and passes through Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania in 74 days, a total of 2,516 kms. Bulgaria hosts the last stage from Novo Selo to Silistra.
