Bulgaria finishes 26th in the Paris 2024 Olympics medal table

Bulgaria finished 26th in the Paris 2024 Olympics medal table. By comparison, Bulgaria was 30th at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, 54th at the Rio 2016 Olympics, 51st at the London 2012 Olympics and 40th at the Beijing 2018 Summer Olympics. In Paris, Bulgaria ranked 15th among all European countries and 11th among EU counties. Romania is the most decorated Balkan country. It earned 9 medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics and finished 23rd in the medal table. The two neighboring countries have an equal number of gold medals.

The Unites States placed first for the fourth consecutive time. It earned a total of 126 medals- 40 gold, 44 solver and 42 bronze. Athletes from 63 countries won Olympic titles.

"Congratulations to all pf our athletes for their worthy performance. Bulgaria is proud with the seven medals won", caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev wrote on Facebook.
