Bulgaria’s Karlos Nasar breaks world record as he becomes Olympic weightlifting champion

Bulgaria’s Karlos Nasar snatched the gold in weightlifting in the 89 kgs. category at the Olympic Games in Paris.
He crushed all competition and grabbed the title, setting a world record in the two lifts total. The Paris-born 20-year old weightlifter lifted a total of 404 kgs., bettering the previous world record by 8 whole kgs. In the snatch, Nasar lifted 180 kgs. in three clean attempts, and in the jerk - 224 kgs. in just two, breaking his own previous record.
