Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnastics group qualifies for Olympic finals

Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnastics ensemble has qualified for the all-around final of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris and will fight for the gold on Saturday, August 10. 
Magdalena Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vassileva performed well in both of their compositions in today's qualification. 

The Bulgarians scored 70.400 points (37.700 points on five hoops and 32.700 points on three ribbons and two balls) and topped the standings ahead of the group of Italy with 69.350 points (38.200 and 31.150). Ukraine's ensemble was third with 68.950 points .

Three years ago, the Bulgarians took gold at the Tokyo Games, bringing the first Olympic title in history for Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics. Then Simona Djankova, Stefani Kiryakova, Madlen Radukanova, Laura Traats and Erika Zafirova were on the highest step of the podium.
