This year's edition of the Yogurt Tales Competition is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Bulgarian School "Dr. Stamen Grigorov" in Geneva.

The competition aims to stimulate the creative potential of all patriotic Bulgarian children in school and preschool age, to preserve the memory of Dr. Stamen Grigorov – the Bulgarian microbiologist and physician who discovered the bacterium Lactobacillus bulgaricus – a microorganism responsible for the formation of Bulgarian yogurt, and to introduce children to the process of lactic acid fermentation and the excellent nutritional and dietary properties of yogurt as a food product.

All of this inspired the students from the Bulgarian Sunday School in Geneva, who created a special exhibition of their works. They took their exhibition to the birthplace of Dr. Stamen Grigorov – the village of Studen Izvor. The village houses the only yoghurt museum in the world. It is situated in a 200-year-old house. Visitors can learn more about milk fermentation and see the vessels used for preparing and storing yogurt.

After its presentation in Bulgaria, the children's artwork exhibition will be showcased in a gallery in Geneva.
