Bulgarian students win 6 medals at the International Linguistics Olympiad in Brazil

The Bulgarian students returned with 6 medals from the International Linguistics Olympiad in Brazil. The competition was held in the period July 23 to 31st with the participation of teams from nearly 40 countries, the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science reported. 

The silver medal went to twelfth grader Nia Dimitrova from Sofia. The remaining 5 bronze medals went to twelfth graders Ani Katelieva from Sofia, Nikolay Georgiev from Silistra, Magdalena Vigenina from Sofia, eleventh grader Sirma Kadardzhova and ninth grader Ivanimira Nedelcheva also from the capital city.

The team leaders are Alexander Velinov from the Union of Mathematicians in Bulgaria and Lyubomir Zlatkov from the Institute of Informatics and Mathematics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
