Traffic is intense at some border checkpoints with Romania, Serbia and Turkiye, Border Police said. At the border with Romania, Traffic is heavy at Kardam checkpoint for outbound freight vehicles. Traffic is also heavy for cars entering and exiting at all border checkpoints. Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, traffic is temporarily reorganized in one lane, regulated by traffic lights.

At the border with Serbia, traffic is heavy at Kalotina checkpoint for inbound cars. At the border with Turkiye, traffic is heavy at Kapitan Andreevo border crossing for both inbound and outbound cars.

Traffic is normal at all checkpoints on the borders with Greece and North Macedonia. Due to the high number of Romanian tourists traveling through Kulata and Makaza border crossings, travellers are advised to use alternative checkpoints at the Bulgarian-Greek border.
