Sofia, Varna and Burgas to broadcast live the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris

The 33rd Summer Olympics will be officially opened in Paris today. On this occasion, Bulgaria's Head of State Rumen Radev is in the French capital to attend the opening ceremony at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and IOC President Thomas Bach. The Bulgarian President is accompanied by his wife, Desislava Radeva. 

The opening ceremony will be broadcast live with special screenings in Sofia, Varna and Burgas.

In Sofia, the outdoor screening is organised by the French Institute, in partnership with Topocentrala and Legrand, where residents and guests of Sofia will be able to watch the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on the terrace of Topocentrala center for contemporary arts. 

Before the broadcast starts, there will be sports activities - volleyball, wushu, taekwondo, to the sounds of DJ Sayulke's playlists. 

The ceremony marking the start of the Olympic Games on 26 July will be opened by French Ambassador Joël Meilleur. Special guests will be Bulgarian Olympic champions, тхе organizers said. 

Parallel events in the Black Sea cities are on the square in front of the town hall in Burgas, and in Varna - in front of the aquarium.
