Orange weather alert for dangerously hot weather remains in place nationwide

Saturday will be sunny and hot. Clouds will form in the afternoon, and there may be brief showers in isolated places in the Eastern part of the country. Minimum temperatures 18-23° C., for Sofia 18° C. Maximum temperatures 35-40° C., for Sofia 35° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be sunny. In the afternoon there may be isolated showers. Temperature of the air 30-35° C., temperature of the sea water 26-27° C., sea state 2-3.

Over the mountains there will be sun with clouds forming in the afternoon and isolated showers over the mountains in the Eastern part of the country. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. 29° C., at 2,000 m. 22° C.

On Sunday the weather will continue hot. Temperatures will be in excess of 40° C., in some parts.
