Caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev represents Bulgaria at the NATO Summit in Washington

From July 9 to 11, Caretaker Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitar Glavchev will participate in the NATO Summit  in Washington. The delegation led by Premier Glavchev will include caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Angelieva, Colonel Nevyana Miteva and Deputy Minister of Defense Adelina Nikolova. 

The 75th anniversary of the founding of NATO will also be celebrated during the forum. The summit is expected to take decisions related to strengthening NATO's deterrence and defense capabilities, continuing and institutionalizing the Alliance's political and practical support to Ukraine, and deepening relations with NATO partners in the Indo-Pacific region. The agenda includes sessions in the allied format, a NATO-Ukraine Council meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a meeting with NATO’s partners in the Indo-Pacific region- Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea, as well as meetings with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission. Thirty-six government and state leaders are expected to attend the summit in the American capital.
