August is not the best month for an election campaign and elections should not be held before the middle of September. This was what President Rumen Radev, who participated in the "Bank of the Year" awards ceremony, said. "I am obliged to consider not only the handing of the mandates, but also when early elections would be held." You will know my decision as soon as possible, he said on the occasion of handing over a second mandate for forming a cabinet.

I do not accept the government turning Bulgaria into an indefinite donor for the war in Ukraine, the president also said. "I believe that the government owes an explanation about the commitments it is taking on the war in Ukraine. I do not agree with the commitment for specific financial aid for armament and I do not agree with the commitment for providing weapons from the arsenal of the Bulgarian army before we have received replacements," Radev said.
