Second edition of a forum on Bulgarian studies convened in Sofia

More than 30 scientists from 12 countries are participating in the international forum "Alphabet, Language, Identity". It begins at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia on June 27 at the initiative of Vice President Iliana Iotova and with the support of the Ministry of Education and the National Scientific Program "For the Development and Promotion of Bulgarian Studies Abroad".

Researchers from Austria, Bosnia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia and Sweden take part in the forum. Scientists from academic institutes and university professors from Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Shumen and Blagoevgrad also participate. The emphasis is on the connection between the Bulgarian language, its preservation and national identity.
