Weather forecast for 26 June

Stormy Wednesday with hot sun in the sky

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with clouds developing over the western half of the country in the afternoon. There will be brief showers, thunderstorms and a chance of hail. The phenomena will be intense in mountainous areas. Maximum temperatures will be between 30°C and 35°C, around 30°C in Sofia.

Before noon there will be sunshine over the mountains, but in the afternoon the sky will soon be covered by heavy cumulus and rain clouds, especially in western and central Bulgaria. Expect short but intense showers with thunderstorms and possibly hail. Light to moderate winds will blow from the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will be around 24°C at 1,200 m and 17°C at 2,000 m.

The Black Sea coast will be mostly sunny. There will be light to moderate east-northeast winds. Maximum temperatures will be 26°-28°C and 25°-26° in seawater, north of Cape Kaliakra - around 23°. The swell will be 2-3.
