''To date, forming a government is not possible'', GERB leader Boyko Borissov told the newly elected MPs from GERB-SDS. The assessment comes after GERB - SDS held informal consultations with the groups of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) and "There are such a people" party. The other parties and coalitions refused to negotiate with the largest parliamentary force after the snap elections on June 9. At the inaugural session of the 50th National Assembly, GERB-SDS will propose Raya Nazaryan as the Speaker of the Parliament. Borissov criticized the political forces that declare there must be a government but want GERB to bear all the responsibility for "their inaction and chaos over the last three years."

"Some may think that going to the seventh consecutive elections will improve their results, but I don't see how this will happen, because the assertions that Borissov and Peevski will govern is a lost cause. It will not happen. Saving your party by staying in opposition and speaking from the rostrum against those who are trying to pull the country out of the crisis - well, it's not fair and it won't happen", said Boyko Borissov.
