Festival "Plovdiv - Ancient and Eternal" kicks off

The international festival "Plovdiv - Ancient and Eternal: History, Ethnography, Culture and Art" opens today and will run until June 16. 

Participants from Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine are expected at the event, organised by the "Filipopol" Association for Historical Re-enactments. 

The festival will be opened today at 7pm at the Roman Stadium in the Old Town. On the 15th and 16th of June, in Lauta Park, the life of the ancient and medieval ancestors will be recreated - food, drink, crafts, music, dance, archery, horse riding, battles, ethnology and culture. The festival is sponsored by the Plovdiv Municipality.
