Bulgaria draws 1:1 with Slovenia in a friendly match

The Bulgarian national football team drew 1-1 with Slovenia in a friendly match played in Ljubljana. So far, the team played sixth matches under the leadership of Ilian Iliev. It recorded five draws against Hungary, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Romania and Slovenia, and one victory over Tanzania. Kiril Despodov gave Bulgaria the lead in the 4th minute. Andraž Šporar equalized 10 minutes later.

Before departing for Euro 2024 in Germany, the home team's captain, Jan Oblak, commented to Sportklub television: "We faced a tough opponent. Bulgaria played very well in the qualifiers against Serbia, and ended up drawing against Romania." Slovenia is in Group C of UEFA Euro 2024. They will play against Denmark, Serbia and England.
