Because of the high number of contestants from the US, Russia, Czechia, China and Ukraine, Viktoriya Tomova, who will occupy 69th position on Monday, will be able to take part in the Olympics.

Viktoriya Tomovis the 7th tennis player from Bulgaria to have qualified for the Olympic Games, after the Maleeva sisters (Manuela, Katerina and Magdalena), Elena Pampoulova, Tsvetana Pironkova and Grigor Dimitrov.
