Bulgaria has more than 300 trained forest educators who teach in kindergartens and schools across the country on a monthly basis. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Marinov, who officially launched the "Forest Classroom" campaign of the Executive Forests Agency.

The initiative is a continuation of the work of the country's forestry officials, who have been visiting children's schools and gardens for the past 15 years to teach them about forests. This time, the lessons are completely hands-on and aimed at teenagers and students from forestry education institutions or with an interest in forestry practice. More than 40 events are planned throughout the country over the next two weeks, with specific events for each region. More than 65 forestry structures in Bulgaria have agreed to host a Forest Classroom.
