A record number of 23 beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast have been awarded the "Blue Flag" quality mark, Kiril Spasov from the Association of Sea Beach Concessionaires announced. He added that the beaches are ready to welcome tourists from June 1 and meet all regulatory requirements.
"Immediately after the end of winter, the concessionaires restored the strips damaged by the stormy sea, where it was necessary", Kiril Spasov said.
Beach access and access to the water via a special floating sun lounger for people with disabilities is provided at all Blue Flag locations. The remaining concessionaires will be required to have such facilities from next summer.
There will be lifeguards on the beaches from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Kiril Spasov also said. On most beaches, the prices of an umbrella and a sunbed will vary between 3.5 and 5 EUR.
