Silvia Azdreeva receives an award from Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Bulgarian Silvia Azdreeva, who climbed Everest on May 15, 2022, received great recognition by being personally awarded for her achievement by the Prime Minister of Nepal. "At a formal ceremony, I had the rare opportunity to personally receive an award from Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for my successful ascent of Everest. I am grateful to the Nepalese government and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation," Silvia Azdreeva wrote on Facebook.

 She is the second Bulgarian woman, after Petya Kolcheva, and the 15th Bulgarian citizen to reach the highest peak on the planet. Silvia Azdreeva is the first Bulgarian woman to have climbed three eight-thousanders: Everest, Lhotse and K2.
