The heads of European news agencies received a souvenir of the Bulgarian alphabet for 24 May.

The general director of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), Kiril Valchev, presented each of the participants in the spring conference of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon with a magnet with a picture of the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet, a short text in English explaining the celebration in Bulgaria of the saints Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature, and the stamp issued by the Bulgarian Post Office on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the BTA in 2023.

The EANA, based in the Swiss capital Bern, was founded in 1956 and has 33 European national agencies as members.
