Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships 2024

Bulgarian juniors win silver and bronze in Budapest

Debutantes Dara Malinova and Magdalena Valkova won their first medals for Bulgaria at the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Budapest in the individual junior category. 

Malinova won the silver medal with 29.600 points. Amalia Lica of Romania secured the gold medal with 30.950 points, while Barbare Kajaia of Georgia came third with 29.000 points.

In the girls' ball final Valkova won the bronze medal. She presented her beautiful composition very well and scored 31.150 points. The winner of the ball competition was Meital Sumkin from Israel with 33.550 points, second was Anna Piergentili from Italy with 31.250 points. 

The two Bulgarian first-timers are fourth in the team competition, just 0.1 points away from a bronze medal.

Stiliyana Nikolova and Boryana Kalein secured their places in three individual finals after qualifying in the women's hoop and ball competitions.
