Bulgaria supports the European Commission's intention to withdraw its proposal against Poland under Article 7 of the EU Treaty, caretaker Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov said in Brussels at a regular meeting of the General Affairs Council. The General Affairs Council discussed the procedure in connection with the rule of law in Poland under Art. 7 of the EU Treaty.

The European Council is expected to discuss defence support for Kyiv and the use of revenues from blocked Russian assets. "Bulgaria expects the European Council to send a strong message of long-term support during this difficult period for Ukraine. Work should be done on formulating an EU strategy for the Black Sea region, especially in view of the changed situation following Russia's aggression against Ukraine," said Ivan Kondov.
