A celebration of the aromatic roses from the region of Gurkovo will take place today in the town of Gurkovo. Through it, the municipality will express its appreciation to the diligence of local rose growers.

"The oil-yielding rose bloomed earlier this year and surprised rose growers, rose processors and the scientific community," the town hall reminded.

Rose picking in the rose fields of the Koriyata area is the first event of the festive program. It will be followed by a ritual brewing of rose brandy in the town square. There, residents and guests of Gurkovo will be able to taste rose jam.
