The confirmed applications submitted by Bulgarians for voting abroad are more than 38,000. The applications were submitted through the electronic system of the Central Election Commission. The deadline for Bulgarians abroad to declare their desire to participate in the elections for National Assembly and European Parliament on June 9, expired at midnight last night.

The biggest number of applications were received from Turkey - 23,500, followed by those in Germany - just over 2,700. More than 9,700 Bulgarians submitted applications to participate in the European vote. Most of them were from Germany - 2,600, and from Spain – more than 1,300.

It is expected that within a few days the CEC will also summarize the applications submitted to our embassies, and then determine the locations and number of polling stations abroad.

Voters with confirmed applications will be included in the voter lists according to location. Those who are not in the list will fill out a declaration that they did not vote elsewhere.
