Cloudy weather with showers on Monday

Monday will remain mostly cloudy. Rain will still fall in eastern Bulgaria before noon. In the afternoon there will be showers in places in western Bulgaria. Light to moderate winds will blow from the east-northeast. 

Minimum temperatures will be between 7°C and 12°C, maximum temperatures between 15°C and 20°C, in Sofia - around 16°C.


Over the mountains the cloudiness will be considerable and it will rain, above 1,800 m - snow is expected. There will be more significant precipitation in the Strandzha and Sakar mountains. There will be moderate to strong wind from the north-northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be about 11°C, at 2,000 m - about 2°C.

Along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be mostly cloudy and rainy, in the afternoon the precipitation will weaken and stop.  Maximum temperatures will be 14°-15°C and sea water temperatures - 15°-16°C.

In the Balkans, clouds will be considerable and rain will fall in places mainly in the western regions. In the eastern part of the peninsula the precipitation will gradually stop. Cold air will continue to blow in from the northeast. It will be 25 °C in Athens, 23°C in Belgrade, 18°C in Bucharest and 17°C in Istanbul.
