“We are a guarantee of stability in the region,” caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev states in an address to the Vienna Economic Forum - Sofia Meeting, 2024, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports.

“We are faced with challenges which come as a consequence of the pandemic and the encapsulation of the world, of armed conflicts with a serious effect on the economy,” Dimitar Glavchev says in a written address. Bulgaria’s membership of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is a priority which will ensure regional stability. Bulgaria must accelerate the process of integration of the countries of the Western Balkans in the EU. This is of prime importance for exploiting fully the potential of the bilateral agreements with our partners from the Western Balkans. The efforts should focus on building the missing infrastructure and energy connectivity, the address reads further.
