Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has invited today caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev for a meeting to discuss the proposals that the prime minister made for the replacement of two ministers a week after the cabinet meeting.
Dimitar Glavchev suggested that GERB Deputy Chairman Daniel Mitov - at the insistence of party leader Boyko Borissov - should take the post of foreign minister in place of Stefan Dimitrov, and Kiril Vatev should hand over power in the agriculture ministry to Georgi Tahov.
"Mr Glavchev's proposals cannot include deputy chairmen of political parties. I want to hear the real motives that made him change his mind so abruptly, without having worked with these people and knowing them," the head of state said.
"The responsibility for the ministers I propose is entirely mine. If there are other views on the matter, whoever thwarts my proposed ministers will take responsibility for what happened," the caretaker prime minister replied.
It is unclear whether Rumen Radev will sign the decrees on the ministerial reshuffles.
