Japanese TV promotes Bulgaria as a tourist destination

The Japanese television channel Fuji TV filmed episodes presenting Bulgaria to the Japanese society. The filming process was carried out in cooperation with the Bulgarian Embassy in Tokyo, the diplomatic mission announced.

The initiative, which aims to promote Bulgaria as a tourist destination and tell about Bulgarian traditions and culture, includes two thematic episodes.

The first episode has already been uploaded on the official YouTube channel of the TV channel and is dedicated to the Bulgarian Spring Festival "Martenitsa 2024" held on March 3 this year in Miyashita Park in Tokyo. In it, the Bulgarian ambassador to Japan Marieta Arabadjieva presents the martenitsa and its symbolism, Bulgarian folklore, traditional products such as cheese, rose jam, honey, herbal tea, wine, rakiya, Troyan pottery vessels, which were offered during the festival.

The second episode of the series on Bulgaria will be uploaded to Fuji TV's YouTube channel on April 19 and will feature traditional Bulgarian dishes.
