In UN Bulgaria votes against ban on arms sales to Israel

Photo: ohchr.org

Bulgaria has voted against a resolution in the UN Human Rights Council calling for a ban on arms sales to Israel because of the war in the Gaza Strip. The document also calls for Israel to be held accountable for possible war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza, BNR "Horizon" reported. The resolution was adopted with the support of 28 countries, 13 abstained, a total of 6 voted "against". The document is non-binding and optional.

We recall that a few days ago, during an Israeli attack in Gaza, 7 aid workers were killed– three British, one person with American and Canadian citizenship, one Pole, one Australian and one Palestinian.
