There is no work done by the military intelligence related to the co-chairman of the parliamentary group of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Atanas Atanasov. This was what the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev told BNT. He recalled that the powers of the military intelligence are different: "It works outside". A few days ago Atanasov said that the Military Intelligence was gathering information about him.

Asked how the Bulgarian army has changed for 20 years in NATO, Minister Tagarev answered: "Definitely, the army is much better prepared to act together with our allies in order to stop any potential aggressor. Unfortunately, part of society does not understand what NATO means for our security and is looking for other options. I can definitely say that these options do not correspond to the Bulgarian national interests and do not offer any alternative," Tagarev said.
