Tomorrow I will submit a letter to the National Assembly to withdraw my candidacy for Prime Minister. GERB will not participate in negotiations with another government-forming mandate, outgoing Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel said at a briefing.

"There were talks in recent days and GERB made concessions, but there were new demands. That is why we say "No", Mariya Gabriel said. In her words, GERB-SDS agreed to make concessions regarding the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Defense, but then PP-DB demanded a change of the Interior Minister.

"The lack of principles blew up the coalition," summarized Denitsa Sacheva from GERB, emphasizing that there have been no differences among the negotiators regarding the governance agreement.
