Head of State Rumen Radev has signed a decree proposing that the 49th National Assembly elect as Prime Minister the candidate proposed by the first largest parliamentary group, that of GERB-SDS.

At the same time, the PP-DB is meeting to discuss the cabinet proposed by Prime Minister-designate Mariya Gabriel, because "we are surprised by what Mariya Gabriel has come up with. There is no agreement on what Gabriel is doing," said Atanas Atanasov of the PP-DB coalition
Outgoing Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov also confirmed that Gabriel's cabinet proposal had not been agreed with the partners in the non-coalition political arrangement. This is the GERB-SDS cabinet, it is not a cabinet coordinated with the PP-DB, and the government agreement is not coordinated with us either," he stressed.
