His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte will be buried on the Southern side of the St. Nedelya church. On the day when the mortal remains of Patriarch Neophyte are lying in state in the St. Alexander Nevski cathedral, where he paid his last respects to His Holiness, the metropolitan bishop of Varna and Veliki Preslav Yoan said this was the last will of the patriarch. There, in the heart of the capital city, next to the St. Nedelya church and close to the Sofia Holy Metropolitanate is the grave of the second Bulgarian Exarch, Exarch Joseph.
