General Philippe Lavigne: Bulgaria's contribution to NATO is of crucial importance for the Black Sea region

NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Philippe Lavigne is visiting Bulgaria. "Bulgaria's contribution to NATO is crucial, especially regarding the Black Sea region and the Eastern flank", the guest said during his meetings. He praised Bulgaria's commitment to increasing defense spending. 

Bulgaria's Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov stressed that we are witnessing transformational changes in the nature of war. "It is of utmost importance for us and our allies to maintain and develop technological superiority, which has always been crucial for military superiority. The development of a strong defense industry capable of responding adequately to new challenges is a key lesson for all NATO and EU member states", said Admiral Emil Eftimov.
