Refugee employment platform in operation in Bulgaria

A platform for refugee employment in Bulgaria will connect refugees with employers. It was created by the Foundation for Access to Rights  - FAR, in cooperation with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, reports BNR-Radio Sofia. 

Data shows that as of December 2023, there were 67 769 Ukrainian refugees registered with temporary protection status in this country. More than 22,000 - mostly Syrian and Afghan nationals - have applied for international protection. 

The idea is that refugees with different skills, experiences and talents can realise their potential and enrich the local labour market.

The platform notes that its experts are ready to answer questions in Ukrainian, Russian, English, French, Arabic, Farsi or Pashto.
