As of today, the temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria is being extended by one year. The government's decision affects about 173,000 citizens who left their country because of Russia's aggression.

The statute provides Ukrainian refugees with the right to free movement, work, healthcare, education and accommodation in European Union countries.

Hired employees from Ukraine must work under the same working conditions as Bulgarian citizens, the Labor Inspectorate reminds.
